LAHEY HOSPITAL

Lahey Emergency Department Capital Campaign (printed brochure) created to raise money for the hospital. Also shown is the 2014 Cancer Program Annual Report which was then created as an online interactive PDF. Followed by the Weiss Lecture Series, 30 years hardcover book and protective box to commemorate Rose Weiss and his generous donations to the hospital over the last 30 years.

Created branding for a condominium complex in Plymouth Massachusetts that consisted of a logo, collateral, brochure, pocket folder, and a series of sell sheets including a mock watercolor site map for the new condo development that is geared to millennial's and empty nester's. Minutes from downtown with a modern, rustic, old world flare.

A series of wedding invitations.

A branding that was created for a new yacht mechanic and electrician in Newport Rhode Island. A website, t-shirt design and signage for a boat was created.

Shields Design was awarded the contract to develop and produce branding guidelines for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. We worked with agency staff to develop a standardized look and feel for them that is representative of their mission. DFW is responsible for the conservation —  including restoration, protection, and management — of fish and wildlife resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the public.The initial challenge was to update the agency seal design and color palette while maintaining aspects of the established look. Next, styles were selected for publications, products and digital media which included standardized fonts, colors, name usage and logo applications. We were also asked to update the agency’s existing print publications and to create templates for these to be used by their in-house design services going forward.

Shields Design has had a long term relationship with Lahey Health Marketing and Communications, assisting with design, production and print management on various projects while working with staff members and vendors. Lahey has a well established Brand Guidelines, which for many projects we were required to adhere to, but at the same time we strived to keep the look fresh. For some projects we were allowed to deviate from the rules, but maintain the look and feel. On rare occasions we had the freedom to create an entire new design, for example the Weiss book. Recently, we have been assisting Lahey’s creative director on a regular basis with in-house projects that are time sensitive and need help being expedited to final.

A project done at New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University. The scope of the project was the create a "how-to" book so this was a cook book with unique recipes and illustrated by me in watercolor and ink to accompany each page.

While Abroad in Florence, Italy. 2007 and again in 2008 with Suffolk University and Palazzo Ruchelli for Italian Journal (watercoloring) of Italian Renaissance.

A project created at the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University. The directive was to take a current list (this one was from Boston Magazine) and create a magazine layout/story.

A project from New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University, where we needed to create branding for a drink, that included logo, packaging and an additional support piece. I chose to create branding for a wine label that had a decorative box that paired with it.
